DOE Implementation Project Engineer

Job Description

The potential candidate should have extensive experience with planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating the activities of the plant operations, maintenance, and project management functions that are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, Mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds in an operative and safe working condition. This knowledge will be used to complete extensive site evaluations, walk through efforts, application development sessions, and other assigned tasks and duties with converting site data into a working cloud based application.


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related field

Combined with:

  • Four to 10 years of management experience in related field
  • Hospitality industry experience highly valued


  • Member (current or within last calendar year) of at least one of the following: ASHE, ASHRAE, HESNI
  • Extensive knowledge of State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred


  • Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Proficiency in the Utilization of Computer Enhanced Programs (i.e. Microsoft Windows, Building Automation, CMMS)
  • Have leadership and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to share industry knowledge with application developers to help better the product
  • Maintain and improve site surveys and implementations using newer technologies and in a faster turnaround time
  • Provide leadership and performance management to fellow team members and departments
  • Provide leadership to support the following functions: preventative and corrective maintenance programs, facilities resource planning, managing the central utility plant, capital planning, master planning
  • Write technical process documentation as a subject matter expert so that the knowledge may be shared amongst your peers
  • Effectively present information, presentations, and training to top levels of management, groups, and others that will be using our applications
  • Expected to be an active contributor in all customer service initiatives, knowledgebase writing, and other documentation standards
  • Be able to travel up to two weeks per month to complete site assessments, client follow ups, and site delivery
